Is the Green Man real

by Aldin Avdic

What would you do if aliens contacted you? Better yet, what if you’ve seen an alien already but didn’t know at the time, what would you do now? Or worse, been abducted.

Beaming your attention over to Casino.ca, Albertans are the “second most likely province/territory you’ll be abducted by aliens.” They reported that one in every 700 people in Alberta will be abducted.

Ontario zaps away from Alberta being the hot spot province/territory with one in 677 people.

Derryn Donaghey runs a Facebook page called Edmonton UFO Discussion & Disclosure. He says he's seen the possibility of alien activity in Alberta.

“We had a big episode of something a bunch of us witnessed,” said Donaghey. “Brought the UFO phenomenon to me.”

Donaghey said that he had worked with the Special Investigation Unit. He recalled one night on base in 1987 when he saw a mothership appear.

“Our compass went crazy, and we got lost,” he said. “Our memory was scrubbed” “Only three of us remembered it by the end of the night.”

Donaghey couldn't say what he saw that night. He was unsure if it was an encounter with an alien.

Did we really capture an alien walking around SAIT on Tuesday, April 15, 2025? Unfortunately no, but the question remains, do aliens exist out there? (Photo by Aldin Avdic)

Another possible encounter with aliens Donaghey has seen was one night on a helicopter pad

“I don’t think they knew we were there; it looked like they were coming out from a portal.”

He witnessed over 52 flying objects in the sky in a row. Stopping and going, turning back and then disappearing.

But for some Calgarians, the idea of there being something out there is nonexistent.

“No,” said Maddy Davis.

Davis isn’t the only person who gave that answer. Many Calgarians that were asked the following question, “Do you think that life exists outside of earth?,” would give no as an answer.

Grace Mathews was more on the fence. Saying that maybe something could exist out there.

Though Mathews felt that proving its existence would be very difficult. Possibly a reason why people may stigmas talking about aliens.

“It's something you could actually never know,” she said. “When people talk about stories about aliens, you're just like oh well it could be anything else could have caused it.”

Austin White, on the other hand, does think strongly that aliens do exist.

“There is a whole galaxy out there.” white said. “There's got to be more out there.”

Interestingly, White doesn't think that there is much of a stigma about talking about aliens.

“There are some hot takes, but the majority of people believe it,” said White.

Donaghey laughs about the stigma.

“The U.S. government changed the word UFO to UAP. Because they didn’t want to be stuck with the UFO handle because of the tin foil hat thing.”

“You're renaming it because you don’t want to associate with us who believed it all along.”

If aliens were around us, do they pose a threat?

Donaghey doesn't feel they are a threat to humanity.

“They're worried about our planet and they're trying to help our planet,” said Donaghey about one possible thought of what aliens might be doing on Earth.

He also said some people think that they may be lizards impersonating world leaders. Shifting politics in their favour.

Giving tips to people going into the alien world is to not allow the stigma to stop you from investigating.

“If we put a stigma on it, it's not going to help solve the problem if people are too afraid to come forward.”
